Public Hearing pursuant to Civil Service Law, Section 209 (3)(e)(iii) and Joint Resolution L1144/J2389 of 2003-4. |

PURPOSE: |
To conduct a public hearing concerning the collective bargaining impasse between the Office of Court Administration and certain public employee unions representing employees of the Unified Court System. |

The Committee directs that any party to the impasse wishing to submit briefing or other documentation do so by submitting same to the co-Chairs on or before February 28, 2006. If any such party wishes to reply to any of the above submissions, this must be provided to the Committee no later than March 7, 2006. In addition, the parties to the impasse shall also submit to the co-Chairs, by February 28th 2006, the names of any person(s) for whom a request is made to speak and/or testify on behalf of any such party. Said submissions shall also include a summary of the expected testimony and/or argument to be propounded by said party. At the hearing, the parties to the impasse shall be required to set forth their positions with respect to the Report and Recommendations of the finder of fact, pursuant to Civil Service Law Sec. 209 (3)(e)(iii). Oral testimony will be limited to 20 minutes duration per party to the impasse. In order to meet the needs of those who may have a disability, the Committee, in accordance with its policy of non-discrimination on the basis of disability, as well as the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), has made its facilities and services available to all individuals with disabilities. For individuals with disabilities, accommodations will be provided, upon reasonable request, to afford such individuals access and admission to Committee facilities and activities. |
