"We need to help them to understand that employing folks who come from these kinds of background can be beneficial. Many corporations have taken on, as corporate policy, to do that kind of work and have benefited from it. So there are companies that have benefited and society benefits and our communities benefit because those individuals always come home. They don't go live somewhere on the moon, they return to our communities. We want them to be productive, vibrant individuals who benefit our world," said Assemblyman Jeffrion Aubry, author of legislation that would delay a potential employer's inquiry about an applicant's criminal history record.
