Assemblyman Stirpe’s Hosting a Series of Roundtables on New York State’s Export Trade
Stirpe invites business owners to come out and talk with local leaders about improving export trade
Assemblyman Al Stirpe (D-Cicero) announced that he will be hosting a series of roundtables to start an open dialogue with members of the local business community about improving export trade in New York State.
Several roundtables will be held across the state, including one in Syracuse on Oct. 22 at Grewen Auditorium at Le Moyne College. Assemblyman Stirpe will be joined at the roundtables in Western New York, the Hudson Valley and the North Country, by local leaders in each region, along with Assemblymembers Sean Ryan, Frank Skartados, and Addie J. Russell.
“From apples, wine, yogurt and dairy to medical devices, furniture, computer chips and military products, New York State is home to incredibly successful industries that export all kinds of products all around the nation,” Assemblyman Stirpe, Chair of the Subcommittee on Export Trade, said. “These roundtables will help connect business owners, corporate leaders, and local representatives to find ways to cut through red tape and expand their exporting operations, ultimately improving export trade and making New York State a better place to do business.”
The roundtables will encourage members of the local business community to come, sit down and discuss with Assemblyman Stirpe and regional leaders how to improve export trade and understand what can be done to benefit each region.
“With these roundtables, business owners and their representatives can help identify infrastructure barriers that are burdening the export process and come to solutions to help craft measures, making it easier to ship goods and products in and out of the region,” Assemblyman Stirpe added.
