Assemblyman Stirpe Comments on 2014 State of the State Address
“Governor Cuomo outlined a bold, job-creating agenda today that will make Central New York more attractive to businesses and help our economy and our hardworking families thrive. By eliminating income taxes for upstate manufacturers, in addition to the tax-free zones created through the START-UP NY program, we can help create good-paying jobs, spur economic development and allow families the opportunities they will need to succeed
“The governor also highlighted another commitment I share: improving our children’s education. Every one of our kids deserves access to a quality education so they can thrive in the highly competitive, high-technology economy of tomorrow. I’ll work to bring more state aid to Central New York schools and ensure our teachers have the tools they need to deliver a first-class education to our children.”
