“The budget outlined by Governor Cuomo is an ambitious budget that includes several programs aimed at restoring economic opportunity here in CNY by eliminating corporate income taxes for upstate manufacturers and providing meaningful property tax relief.

“I was encouraged to see that the governor placed a strong emphasis on improving our children’s education. Every child deserves access to a quality education beginning at the earliest age. A plan for state-funded, full-day, universal pre-K and the Smart Schools initiative will help our children thrive in the highly competitive, high-technology economy of tomorrow. The governor’s education proposals are a good framework to start with and I look forward to working with the legislature to pass an on-time budget that will help CNY’s economy grow, ensure hard working families get the property tax relief they need and invest in education.”
