Assemblyman Al Stirpe: New Ethics Laws are a Key Step in Restoring the Public’s Trust in Government
August 24, 2016
“The new ethics laws we passed this year, are a key step in restoring the public’s trust in government. No longer will corrupt politicians be able to collect pensions from prison cells. We reformed independent expenditure committees, ending coordination in political campaigns. And we are requiring political consultants who have business in front of state to register for the first time.
“Central New York families deserve a government as good as themselves. They deserve a government that puts their interest first. My priority is to restore the public’s trust in government, as your representative, I will always work to bring integrity and honor back to our government.”
