“The claims of harassment and the recent case of unwanted advances by the governor are serious and disturbing. An independent investigation into these accusations has been initiated, as I and many of my colleagues have called for. Matters of this nature should always be taken seriously, making sure accusers’ voices are heard. Based on the involvement of the Attorney General, I am confident an impartial and independent review of the facts will occur. In the meantime, the legislature must continue to do the work we were elected to do: negotiating a state budget and crafting and adopting legislation that helps move our state forwards and keeps our families safe. Representing the hardworking families of the 127th Assembly District will continue to be my focus as we await the results of the independent inquiry.”
