Assemblymember Amy Paulin Statement on Passage of a Law against Parking Non-Electric Vehicles in Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
March 3, 2020
I am appreciative that my colleagues joined me in passing this common-sense legislation. Not only is taking up scarce electric car charging stations by parking in them rude, it can be a major operational and even safety problem for electric car drivers who depend on charging infrastructure just as combustion engine drivers rely on gas stations being open.
I urge my colleagues in the Senate to pass this legislation without hesitation so that we can keep environmentally conscious drivers in New York driving cleanly and conveniently.
