Beephan Delivers Donated Winter Coats to Local Veterans

Assemblyman Anil Beephan (R,C-East Fishkill), in partnership with generous members of the community and all nine towns in his Assembly district, has just delivered over 300 winter coats to Mental Health America of Dutchess County’s Veteran’s Program. Announced in early November, the drive accepted new or gently used winter coats, hats, scarves, mittens, gloves, boots, sweaters, and vests to be distributed to veterans and their families in need throughout the community.

“The veterans of Dutchess County have sacrificed so much for our country; ensuring they have access to warm coats during the winter season has been one of my most personally favorite initiatives as an Assemblyman,” Beephan said. “I’m thankful for Virgil, my veteran affairs coordinator, Sean, my Deputy Chief of Staff, Matt, my Legislative Director, who helped my office coordinate with MHA for the drive, and each town for participating in the drive.I am certain that the MHA of Dutchess County will ensure that the coats end up with those who need them the most. A special thank you to every resident across our community who donated clothing towards this noteworthy cause!”
