Assemblyman Ari Brown Passes First Bill, Secures Property Tax Exemption For Congregation Beis Medrash

Assemblyman Ari Brown (R-Cedarhurst) has passed his first of three bills (A.10061-A) since being elected in April of 2022, which provides property tax exemption status to a local orthodox synagogue in Lawrence, NY.As a proud member of the Jewish community, Brown is getting straight to work helping constituents of all faiths and religions in the 20th Assembly District by obtaining this new designation for this congregation.
“Beis Medrash is an important center of worship for hundreds of families that reside in the Five Towns of Long Island. I was proud to help them receive this tax-exempt status, which is guaranteed to all religious institutions. I thank my colleagues in both the Assembly and Senate for supporting this legislation,” said Brown.
