Assemblyman Ari Brown (R-Cedarhurst) recently showed his support for local wounded and ill veterans at the Waterfront Warriors 5k in Long Beach. Waterfront Warriors aims to aid veterans and their families as well as gives them the opportunity to visit the beautiful beachfront area to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Over the past two summers, the 5k has brought fifty families of wounded or ill veterans to the Long Beach area. Waterfront Warriors also provides assistance to veteran’s hospitals and other institutions in the area.

“It was great catching up with all of the individuals who put on the 5k,” Brown said. “This event not only helps show off the beauty of the Long Beach area, but gives these veterans and their families the opportunity to relax and enjoy the country they fought and sacrificed for. I hope this incredible event can continue for many years to come. Thank you to all those who volunteered for this event, and I can’t wait to attend again next summer.”
