Brown Urges Swift Response to BDS Support at Binghamton University
Editor's note: Letter to Governor Attached
Assemblyman Ari Brown (R-Cedarhurst) assembled a bipartisan group of Assembly members to express profound dismay over the Binghamton University Student Association’s support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which is notorious for the defamation and demonization of Israel. The letter urges Chancellor King to take swift action, including expulsion of involved students, faculty and committee members. Since the Hamas terrorist attack in October, the Anti-Defamation League has reported an almost 400% increase in antisemitic incidents, many of which occur on college campuses.
“As a bipartisan group, we condemn the Binghamton University Student Association’s support for BDS. This divisive action undermines academic freedom and fosters intolerance. We urge Chancellor King to swiftly expel involved students, faculty and committee members,” said Brown.
