State Majority Leaders Struggling to Work Together

A statement from Assemblyman Brian Manktelow (R,C,I,Ref-Lyons) on the Assembly Majority’s one-house budget resolution

“It is concerning to see state Majority leaders struggling to work together. The Assembly Majority is alone in their quest to raise the taxes of hard-working New Yorkers by a significant amount, over $5.7 billion, and their refusal to make the property tax cap permanent. While I’m happy with the proposal to restore Aid and Incentives for Municipalities (AIM) funding and Library Aid, we can do better. The people of New York choose us as their representatives, we owe it to them to continue to fight for improvement. I won’t be satisfied until we provide all New Yorkers with better quality of life.”
