Manktelow: Churches Might be Closed but we can Still Worship

A statement from Assemblyman Brian Manktelow (R,C,I,Ref-Lyons)

“With Holy Week beginning this Sunday with Palm Sunday, it breaks my heart that churches across New York, and in most cases the nation, are closed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. While this is definitely for the best so we can slow the curve and protect those who are most vulnerable in our communities, it is definitely sad to see this happen. However, just because the buildings are closed, doesn’t mean we can’t still worship. Now more than ever is it a time for us to come together, metaphorically of course, to support each other and our churches. Many churches are moving services online, which also includes the option of making an offering online as well. I hope many of you will consider this option and continue to worship despite current circumstances. It is important not to lose hope during this difficult time.”
