Welcome Letter

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the communities of Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, and Corona. From the time we were elected into office, my team and I have made it a priority to ensure that every constituent who reaches out to our office is afforded comprehensive services to address their needs.

Since the onset of COVID-19, our country has faced challenges like no other. From a public health crisis most have never experienced in their lifetime, to widespread job loss and food insecurity. In March 2020, we made the decision to close our district office to the public and turn it into an emergency food pantry, where we provided hundreds of thousands of meals for our neighbors. We simultaneously worked around the clock to help our neighbors apply for unemployment, rent relief, and public benefits. We are eternally grateful to the volunteers who helped keep the food pantry running and to those who continue to support us.

In the short time that I have been in office, I’m proud to have helped pass some of the most progressive legislation we’ve seen in decades, including sweeping reforms in criminal justice, enhanced tenant protections, and reproductive and immigration rights that have benefited millions of New Yorkers. We will continue to push for innovative legislation as we come out of the pandemic to ensure the survival of our community.

Please use this site to learn about our work in the 39th Assembly District. You can find news clips about the work we’ve been doing in the community, our seasonal community newsletter, instructions to contact our office, as well as other useful information.

As always, feel free to call our office at 718-458-5367 with any questions or concerns! We are here to serve you!
