Friend Meets With State NRA Representative
Assemblyman Christopher Friend (R- Big Flats) this week spoke with Darin Goens, State Liaison for the National Rifle Association (NRA), to discuss the rights of New York gun owners. The two discussed current issues facing New York sportsmen, including Friend’s opposition to recent microstamping legislation that would place an economic burden on gun owners and businesses.
“I appreciated the chance to speak with Mr. Goens,” said Friend. “We spoke briefly about microstamping, as well as other legislation that aims to curtail the second amendment rights of New Yorkers. I look forward to working with him in the future on these issues and others and assured him that I will continue to work to preserve the rights of New York’s law-abiding gun owners.”
