Assemblyman Chris Friend (R – Big Flats) met with Stan Panosian of the New York State Ombudsman Alliance (NYSOA) on February 7 in order to discuss the negative impact the Executive Budget has on the services the ombudsman volunteers provide to long-term-care recipients and their families when complaints arise.
“Meeting with Mr. Panosian reaffirmed my support for the excellent work performed by the NYSOA,” said Friend. “The highly trained and autonomous volunteer Ombudsman help identify and resolve quality of care and quality of life concerns for residents of long-term care facilities before they become major problems. This represents a winning strategy for government, taxpayers and the residents of long-term care facilities.”
