Friend Meets With Binghamton University Liberty Partnership Program Students In The State Capital

Assemblyman Christopher S. Friend (R,C,I-Big Flats) met with students and counselors from the Binghamton University Liberty Partnership Program. Staff work with 360 high school and middle school students from Binghamton, Susquehanna Valley, Owego Apalachin and Union-Endicott school districts in helping them set and achieve academic, social and emotional goals.

“Giving students the tools and support to achieve early in their academic careers sets them up for greater success in the future,” said Friend, a member on the Assembly Committee on Children and Families. “Caring staff at organizations like Binghamton University’s Liberty Partnership Program really make a difference with students. These students are passionate, bright and ready to take on the world – I can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the future.”
