March 6, 2025 – With the Di Rienzo family to announce that Di Rienzo Brothers Bakery was officially placed on the NYS Historic Business Preservation Registry. I was very happy to nominate them for this prestigious designation in recognition of their 120 years in business.
March 5, 2025 – Joined hundreds of local County Highway Officials, in orange shirts, at a rally in support of local roads. Local roads are essential, and I pledge my support for investing more resources to sustain them.

February 27, 2025 – With Secretary of State Walter T. Mosley to announce that the Clinton Street Neighborhood Business District was awarded $10M from NY’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The City has plans to develop this historically important section of Binghamton into a thriving hub once again.
February 22, 2025 – Speaking at the Together for Ukraine Interfaith Vigil to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
February 19, 2025 – With Empire State Development Commissioner Hope Knight after the announcement that BAE plans to build a new battery production line as part of a large expansion project. BAE is making a $65.5M investment, with the state offering $8.5M in Excelsior Jobs Tax Credits, creating over 130 good-paying local jobs.
February 5, 2025 – Met with representatives from the Four County Library System and stopped by the New York Library Association “READ” display during Library Advocacy Day at the Capital.
February 4, 2025 – Met with representatives from Leading Age and Good Shepherd Communities for “Support our Seniors” Advocacy Day. They were here in support of long-term care: nursing homes, assisted living facilities, continuing care and more.

January 29, 2025 – Attended a fireside chat with Martin Luther King III at Binghamton University, where he spoke about the importance of returning civility to public discourse and his father’s dream to eradicate poverty, racism, and violence. It was wonderful to meet him.
January 27, 2025– CCEs from across the state, including our own CCE of Broome County, were in Albany to advocate for their programs.
January 27, 2025– Speaking at the Agriculture and Parks budget hearing. As the Chair of the Ag Committee, I got to ask a lot of questions that will help determine our priorities for this year’s state budget.

January 8, 2025 – Today was the official opening of the 248th Legislative Session of the NYS Assembly. All 150 members were sworn in, including 21 new members. It continues to be an honor and a privilege to work on behalf of the people of the 123rd District.
January 7, 2025 – With Commissioner Ball at Broome CCE for a preview of the Governor’s upcoming State of the State message. We also received an update on important developments to protect New York’s food supply chain.
December 31, 2024 – With fellow officials at the start of demolition of the old group of IBM buildings to make way for new development. It was a bittersweet moment.
December 3, 2024 – Joined County Executive Jason Garnar and CCE Broome Director Beth Roberts at Chalker Creek Farms to promote buying local when purchasing a tree this year. NYS is home to 875 Christmas Tree Farms, with 13 locally.

November 26, 2024 – Posing with the winners of the 2024 Thanksgiving Food Challenge. Together we brought in over 21,000 meals for the community.
November 20, 2024 – At the ribbon cutting for Family & Children’s Counseling Services newly opened expansion on Main Street in Binghamton. This long-awaited project will fill a critical need for mental health and addiction services.
November 19, 2024 – With my Communications Director Christina Fuller after the Binghamton Move Out Project was announced as the Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Community Advocate of the Year. She founded the project while in college.
November 18, 2024 – With Senator Gillibrand at Binghamton University to promote the Cyber Security Academy that she advanced.
November 15, 2024 – Mayor Marty Meaney and I were pleased to accept the 2024 Preservation Association of the Southern Tier Historic Preservation Award for the restoration of the Endicott-Johnson Pump House Pagoda that we worked on several years ago. A special thank you to Mayor Greg Deemie for all of the work he put in.
November 14, 2024 – With my government and University partners kicking off the 2024 Thanksgiving Food Challenge to bring in food donations for CHOW ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
November 12, 2024 – A plaque was unveiled acknowledging my work to help transform the Carnegie Library into SUNY Broome’s Culinary & Event Center. I was honored to receive this recognition.
November 11, 2024 – Spent time in Endicott and Binghamton for Veterans Day honoring the men and women who have served in the military.

September 4, 2024 – With Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie at the United Way of Broome County to announce that they will be receiving a $1M Assembly grant to expand the 211 Regional Call Center, and make other improvements to their main building.
August 30, 2024 – At the annual Gusto Italian Fest in Endicott; one of my favorite events of the year.
