Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund for the first seven months of 2014 produced revenue of $55.7 million. A year ago $52.67 million was collected for the same period. Revenues are 5.8 percent more than last year. July revenues totaled $9.94 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $8.8 million.

Since its inception in 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $940.44 million. The CPF has generated $98.47 million in the last 12 months.

Thiele stated, "The CPF continues to see steady growth in revenues in the first seven months of 2014, exceeding 2013 by 5.8%. 2013 was the second largest year for CPF revenues, exceeded only by 2007. For the first seven months, CPF revenues have been consistently between $7 and $10 million per month. This reflects the continued strength and stability in East End real estate and the continued availability to local Towns of the necessary revenues to protect community character."
