Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund Revenues are $64.55 Million for First Eight Months of 2015

Revenues are 1.7% more than same period in 2014

Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund (CPF) for the first eight months of 2015 produced revenue of $64.55 million. A year ago $64.14 million was collected for the same period, or 1.7% more than last year. August revenues totaled $6.36 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $8.44 million. While yearly revenues are still ahead of last year, the August 2015 total is the lowest revenue total for one month in almost two years.

The number of transactions for the first eight months of 2015 was 4,995 compared with 4,277 a year ago. Since its inception on 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.0567 billion. The CPF has generated $108.2 million in the last 12 months.

Thiele stated, "The CPF revenues in the first eight months of 2015 exceed 2014 by 1.7%. 2014 was the largest year for CPF revenues in the history of the program."
