Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF-Sag Harbor) today reported that the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund produced $9.51 million in revenue for the Peconic Bay Region for November 2015. This compares with $10.88 million a year ago. The 11-month total for 2014 of $91.05 million is 2.4% lower than a year ago for the same period when $93.26 million was collected.

Since its inception in 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.084 billion. The CPF expires in 2030. The CPF has generated $105.59 million over the last 12 months. Based on recent activity, CPF revenues are projected to total $100 million for 2015, which would be second in CPF history only to 2014, when 107.69 million was generated.

Thiele stated, "The CPF revenues in the first 11 months of 2015 trail 2014 revenues by 2.4%. There is continued stability in the East End real estate market and the continued availability to local Towns of the necessary revenues to protect community character. However, 2015 revenues have plateaued and revenues are slightly below the 2014."
