Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund Revenues are $54.85 Million for First Seven Months of 2016 Compared with $58.19 Million in 2015

Revenues Are 5.7% LOWER than Last Year; Cumulative CPF Revenues Total $1.149 Billion

Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that 2016 revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund (CPF) for the first seven months produced revenue of $54.85 million. A year ago $58.19 million was collected for the same period, or 5.7% percent LESS than last year. July revenues totaled $8.69 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $9.91 million.

Since its inception on 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.149 billion. The CPF has generated $101.62 million in the last 12 months.

Thiele stated, "The CPF revenues in the first seven months of 2016 are less than 2015 by 5.7%. This marks the 5th consecutive month that CPF revenues are less than the same month in 2015. Over the last five months CPF revenues were $35.96 million compared with $42.87 million a year ago or a 16.1% decline. While CPF revenues are on pace to exceed $90 million for the year, the Towns should take note of this downward trend."
