Thiele Earns a 100% Rating from EPL/Environmental Advocates
EPL/Environmental Advocates has released its New York State Environmental Scorecard for the 2018 Legislative Session. EPL/Environmental Advocates is a state-wide environmental organization that advocates for environmental legislation.
Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF, WE - Sag Harbor) has received a 100% score for the 2018 Session. The ranking is based on his favorable votes on legislation that passed the State Assembly that would have a positive impact on the environment, including issues relating to climate change, clean water, clean air, renewable energy, open space, and solid waste. Thiele either sponsored or voted in favor of all of these bills. He also received a perfect score on the recently released New York State League of Conservation Voters Scorecard, which also ranks the State Legislature on its environmental record.
Thiele stated, “I am pleased to be recognized for my work on the environment during the 2018 State Legislative Session. Resources such as clean air, clean water and open spaces must be protected. Our key industries of farming, fishing, tourism, and second homes on eastern Long Island cannot thrive without a healthy environment. I look forward to continuing to work with the EPL/Environmental Advocates on advancing significant environmental policies on behalf of my district and all of New York State.”
