State Economic Development Funding Will Assist East End Economy
South Fork will benefit from nearly $16.7 million in funding
State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr., (I, D, WF, REF - Sag Harbor) today announced that the East End will benefit from the economic development grants awarded by Governor Cuomo through the Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC) on Tuesday, December 18, 2018
This year, the 10 Regional Councils competed for funding and assistance from more than $750 million in state economic development resources as part of Round VIII of the REDC competition. Long Island was a “Regional Council Awardee” of $68.3 million to support 103 projects that focus on several key initiatives for regional growth. Thiele identified a number of those projects that will benefit the 1st Assembly District, including:
