Assemblymember Bronson: Governor Signs the Public Integrity Reform Act of 2011 into law

Assemblymember Bronson (D-Rochester, Chili, Riga, Rush, Wheatland) applauded Governor Cuomo’s signing of a law that will begin to restore the public’s faith in government.

“With our state’s future on the line, our hardworking families need a government they can trust and depend on,” Assemblymember Bronson said. “That’s why I joined in sponsoring this legislation in the Assembly to make sure that the families of Monroe County have a government they can trust.”

This legislative package creates transparency within state government, requires public officials to disclose all sources of income and establishes an independent Joint Commission that will have tough oversight of state government.

“This legislation is an important step forward in restoring the trust of the people in state government again. I look forward to continuing to work with the Governor on this matter to make sure we continue to bring integrity back to state government.
