Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz Inaugurated in Albany

Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz (R,C – Oyster Bay) was officially inaugurated in Albany today along with several new members of the Assembly Minority Conference. Prior to his election to the 15th Assembly District, Blumencranz worked in the private sector as a business executive as well as for the Nassau County District Court.

“The support I’ve received from my neighbors and the entire Assembly Minority Conference has been humbling and overwhelming and I’m excited to start working right away to address the record inflation and high cost of living that has plagued our state,” Blumencranz said. “I’m committed to working across the aisle with all members to bolster alternative pathways to education and trade schools, cut taxes for middle-class families and homeowners and eliminate rampant crime and lawlessness throughout our state.

“It’s an honor to join an unprecedented amount of diversity within the Assembly Minority Conference, including Assemblyman Lester Chang, who is the first Asian-American Minority elected to the state Assembly,” Blumencranz continued. “Thank you to Leader Barclay and my colleagues for their unwavering support during my campaign and orientation process.”
