Giglio on Return to 2025 Legislative Session

“As I am back in Albany for the 2025 Legislative Session, I am excited to continue being the voice for the hardworking people of our community. Our state is still facing significant challenges—from skyrocketing living costs and drastic public safety concerns to the affordability of energy and the need for actual tax relief.

I would like to thank Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) for having confidence in me to take on new leadership roles as the vice chair of the Programs Committee, a member of the Agriculture Committee, a member of the Ways and Means Committee and the ranking member on the People with Disabilities Committee.

I am especially looking forward to being a voice for our most vulnerable members of the community such as veterans, seniors and individuals with disabilities. These communities face significant obstacles, and it is our responsibility as lawmakers to ensure their needs are being met and prioritized. This is why, I am determined to push for real solutions that restore common sense to our policies and put New Yorkers first.

Prioritizing the restoration of safety amongst New Yorkers, allowing local law enforcement to get Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) involved in the illegal migrant crisis and making New York a more affordable place to live are what need to be at the top of our agenda this legislative session,” said Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (R,C-Riverhead). “I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to tackle these issues head-on and deliver results that actually make a difference. It’s time for change in our great state of New York, and I’m ready to fight for that change.”
