Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (R,C,I-Riverhead) is very concerned with the anti-law enforcement legislation coming out of Albany. To date, shootings are up 87% in New York City alone, and Giglio is deeply concerned at the rate of progressive legislation that is exacerbating the situation and putting both law enforcement and the public at large at risk.
“I offer my prayers to the NYPD officers involved in this shooting and send well wishes of healing on behalf of myself and my staff,” Giglio said. “Although prayer is powerful, prayer does not fix reckless, irresponsible laws that have been applauded and passed by the majority of legislators on the other side of the aisle. We need to bring sanity back to New York and ensure public safety is prioritized above all else.”
