Giglio Fighting To Keep Women and Children Safe
Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) joined Assemblyman Jack Quinn (R-Hamburg) and other members of the minority conference last week to discuss combating sex crimes against women and children.
S.A.V.E.-NY, the Assembly Minority Task Force on Sex Crimes Against Children and Women, is designed to give legislators, law enforcement, local leaders, parents and educators opportunities to discuss the dangers facing women and children throughout the state. Most notably, panel members review the extraordinary threats posed by repeat, high-level sex offenders.
“Every time we are able to bring together residents, local leaders, law enforcement representatives and school officials to examine the threat against women and children, we send a clear message to would-be criminals that we remain vigilant,” said Giglio. “I stand ready to invest absolutely every resource necessary to identify potential threats and develop strategies to safeguard our communities and neighborhoods.”
