Giglio Supports Governor’s Call For Tax Relief, Safer Communities
Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) today echoed Gov. George Pataki’s call to reduce the tax burden on hardworking New Yorkers and his determination to bring business back to the state’s more rural communities. Pataki’s comments came in his 12th annual “State of the State” address.
“Essentially, New York’s prosperity hinges on a strong economy and safe communities not only downstate, but in the Southern Tier and Western New York, as well,” said Giglio.
“I applaud the governor for his prescient message, and I vow to work tirelessly to promote the aspirations of all people who call the Southern Tier home.
“Let this be the year we bring real and meaningful tax relief to our residents and business owners. If we fail to reclaim our shared passion to bring jobs back to areas like the Southern Tier and Western New York, we will have only ourselves to blame. I intend to lead the charge in the Assembly for critical tax relief and safer communities.”
