Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) today was introduced on the floor of the Assembly by Minority Leader James N. Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady-Saratoga) and officially welcomed to Albany and the state’s Capitol.

“I am truly humbled, and excited, to be a part of something greater than myself,” said Giglio. “I take my responsibility as a member of this conference very seriously, and I look forward to joining the ranks of such a well-respected legislative body. My first order of business will be to fulfill my pledge to the families and residents of the Southern Tier and Western New York by voting on bills that protect our women and children, as well as our way of life,” concluded Giglio.

Before his election to the state Assembly, Giglio investigated criminal activity and corruption within state agencies and those who do business with the state of New York. He’s a former special assistant to the attorney general and served in both the Erie and Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s departments.

Joe lives in the village of Gowanda with his wife and children in the 149th Assembly District.
