Giglio Calls For ‘Legislative Intervention’ To Fight State Heroin Crisis
June 3, 2016
Assemblyman Joseph Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) joined his Assembly and Senate colleagues on Wednesday to call on the Assembly Majority to pass legislation combating New York’s growing heroin crisis before the end of the 2016 legislative session.
“Our conference has been calling for comprehensive reform to address the heroin epidemic for over a year now. Our plan goes after the root causes of addiction and provides real avenues for recovery,” said Giglio. “People are losing their lives to this epidemic. We must pass legislation to help our struggling citizens and communities before this session comes to a close. We simply cannot afford to wait any longer, lives are at stake.”
