“The actions and decisions detailed in this report are reprehensible and prove that our former governor prioritized his personal well-being over that of this state’s residents,” said Giglio. “The findings of this report should drive us all to fight for more transparency in our state government to help ensure elected officials and appointees cannot get away with wrongdoing and violating public trust.

“I thank the victims and witnesses for their bravery in coming forward with their accounts of what transpired. It is their strength of character that allowed the public to be made aware of the alleged violations.

“This should be a clear warning that this kind of abuse of power will not be tolerated by the citizens of New York.”
