Established in 1908, Fort Drum stands as a prominent landmark in Jefferson County. On May 7, three distinguished members of the Fort Drum community joined us in Albany to be recognized for their dedication to the daily operations of the fort.

Blankenbush, Local Town and County Highway Officials Rally In Albany for Increased Funding for Local Infrastructure

The Mohawk Valley Nine, a bipartisan coalition of state legislators representing Herkimer, Madison and Oneida counties, held its initial caucus meeting of the year earlier this week.

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) at the press conference in Albany where he and his colleagues in the Assembly Minority Conference released their findings and recommendations to address the heroin epidemic in New York State. The Heroin Epidemic – A Report on Heroin Use, Treatment, Prevention & Education Efforts in NYS was composed after Blankenbush and other Assembly Minority members held several forums across the state and gathered testimony from those impacted by heroin.
