Blankenbush Pleased to Announce Over $185 Million in Funding For the North Country, Mohawk Valley
Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) is pleased to announce that today the North Country and Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC) were awarded over $185 million in funding to be invested throughout the regions. The North Country was awarded $85.1 million, and the Mohawk Valley, named a REDC Top Performer, was awarded $100.3 million. This is the fifth year that Regional Economic Development Awards have been distributed.
“The $185 million funding from our state will be instrumental in building a healthy economy that will make our region more vibrant and business-friendly,” said Blankenbush. “I am so grateful for the hard work and dedication put forth by the people on our North Country and Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Councils. Because of their efforts, infrastructure, agriculture, bio- and hi-tech jobs, workforce development, tourism and community renewal will be prioritized in our community’s future.
