Assemblymember Buttenschon congratulates NYS Police Academy graduates
“I was pleased to attend the graduation exercises for the 210th session of the Basic School of the New York State Police Academy held today at the Empire State Plaza. It was my honor to recognize the 227 new Troopers who’ve completed the rigorous training required by the New York State Police and who will now join this noble profession, protecting and serving our communities.
“I especially want to recognize and congratulate three of my constituents who are part of this graduating class: Nicholas J. Baxter of Whitesboro, Colleen M. Moran, also of Whitesboro, and Andrew C. Lawrence of Utica. These three Mohawk Valley residents have shown tremendous dedication, determination, and commitment to the public good and are an example of selflessness for us all.
“New York State Troopers play a critical role ensuring public safety in our state in numerous ways, from road safety to criminal investigations. Their sacrifice is something that should never go without recognition and gratitude. I want to congratulate all of the men and women who joined this important profession today.”
