Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon’s Update on the New York State Assembly Committee on Small Business Meeting on May 13th, 2026

“As Chair of the Assembly’s Small Business Committee, yesterday I convened a meeting to advance legislation aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and strengthening the small businesses that serve as the backbone of our local economies.
“During the meeting, the Committee reported the following legislation for further consideration within the Assembly Ways & Means Committee:
- A.2055-A: An act to amend the economic development law, the public authorities law and the New York state urban development corporation act, in relation to financial assistance to small businesses for the purpose of pollution prevention, control and compliance
- A.4107-A: An act to amend the New York state urban development corporation act, in relation to creating the New York state innovative energy and environmental technology program
- A.6333-A: An act to amend the economic development law, in relation to establishing the small business energy conservation ombudsman program
- A.11046: An act to amend the state administrative procedure act and the economic development law, in relation to requiring the division for small business to publish a small business compliance guide
