Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon Tests Positive for COVID-19
Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D, I-Utica/Rome) has tested positive for COVID-19. “Over the weekend, after experiencing mild flu-like symptoms, I decided to take a COVID-19 test as a precautionary measure. Regrettably, the test results came back positive for COVID-19. I am carrying out my legislative duties virtually and will continue working for my constituents remotely until I receive medical guidance that directs me otherwise.
I am grateful for the outpouring of support that my family and I have received from the public. With the recent announcement that our nation has reached the grim milestone of 500,000 COVID-19 deaths, it is vital that everyone in the community continue to take the pandemic seriously and abide by all CDC, State and public health guidelines. Additionally, I hope all will join me in saying a prayer for those we have lost to this terrible disease. They will never be forgotten, and we will continue to pray for strength and healing for their loved ones.”
