Walsh Honors 11 Women Of Distinction At Second Annual Event
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) hosted her second annual Women of Distinction Event on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at The Edison Club in Rexford. She honored 11 women from the 112th Assembly District for their accomplishments.
“I genuinely welcomed the opportunity to recognize these women, who each in their own way have enriched their communities through their compassion, talent and volunteerism,” said Walsh. “Once again, it was incredibly difficult to select this year’s honorees, as my office received an outpouring of nominations, each one heartfelt and inspiring.”
“In this busy world, we sometimes unintentionally take for granted the women in our lives who give themselves to their schools, jobs, places of worship, friends, family and community. The 11 women recognized this past weekend, all different, joined to celebrate the many forms that “service” can take. Each one of these women is an inspiration and a role model, and I thank them for all of their work to make the 112th Assembly District the special place that it is.”
The 2022 Women of Distinction honorees are: Mary Brandt, Jennifer Conroy (posthumously), Ann Day, Sandra Foster, Wendi Gapczynski, Sue Leonard, Crickett Thomas O’Dell, Vicki Ramotar, Arlene Rhodes, Shelley Smith and Joan Thornhill. Congratulations!
