Walsh Honors 10 Women of Distinction at Third Annual Event
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) was proud to present the 2023 Women of Distinction awards this past Saturday, May 6, at The Edison Club in Rexford to 10 special honorees. Walsh hosts Women of Distinction annually to recognize the contributions of outstanding women in the 112th Assembly District.
“Women of Distinction is one of my most favorite events of the year because I get to honor women who make their communities a better place, who advocate for those in need, who see a need that has to be filled and step up to the plate to make sure that it’s addressed. This year’s honorees from the 112th Assembly District include women in business, education, health care, veterans’ affairs and volunteers who spend their time bettering the lives of children, mothers, veterans, strangers, friends and so many more,” Walsh said. “Each woman has a story of selflessness and sacrifice, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share them with you.”
“As always, my office received a number of amazing, talented, caring nominees who all deserve recognition for the work they do for others. It only takes a second to thank the women in our lives, which I encourage everyone to do. Thank you, also, to our host The Edison Club for allowing us to bring this program to the women in our community for the last three years!” Walsh concluded.
The 2023 Women of Distinction honorees are: Dr. Michelle Burlingame, Eileen Trainor, Joyce Crawford, Shirley Morehouse, Carolyn Hayner, Wilma Jozwiak, retired Col. Dr. Christine Rem, Lizzy Feulner, Janet Irwin and Beth Miles. Congratulations!
