Walsh Honors Women Making a Difference in Saratoga, Schenectady and Fulton Counties at Fourth Annual Women of Distinction Event
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) was proud to present awards to her 102024 Women of Distinction honorees at the Edison Club today. Walsh hosts Women of Distinction annually to recognize the contributions of outstanding women who may not get recognition otherwise in Saratoga, Schenectady and Fulton counties.
This year’s honorees include a dynamic leader transforming trauma recovery in the community through innovative programs, a devoted firefighter and EMT dedicated to serving her community and inspiring other women to join, a passionate advocate for veterans and community service, a pioneering educator empowering students in veterinary science, a distinguished military leader breaking barriers, a tireless humanitarian giving voices to marginalized communities, a philanthropic real estate professional using her talents to give back and a committed public servant whose legacy of saving lives and giving extends far beyond her career.
“Hosting Women of Distinction gives me the unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of our friends, colleagues, mothers, sisters and all the extraordinary women we know. These awards serve as a testament to their dedication, resilience and invaluable contributions to our communities,” Walsh said. “Each of the women honored today represents the epitome of excellence in their respective fields. They are trailblazers, advocates and role models who share stories of service, leadership and innovation—their commitment to excellence and tireless efforts to uplift others exemplify the very best of our community.”
“I am immensely proud to stand alongside these women today, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every woman who was nominated this year for their selfless dedication to serving others. I also want to express my sincere appreciation to the Edison Club for yet another exceptional year of hosting this event,” Walsh concluded.
