Walsh Presents $40,000 Check to Ballston Spa Public Library to Launch Major Upgrades
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) was proud to present a $40,000 check to the Ballston Spa Public Library today for its Capital Campaign. Serving as the most frequented public center in the Village of Ballston Spa, and catering to a community in need, the Ballston Spa Public Library plays a pivotal role. These funds will support the library’s endeavor to modernize and upgrade its facilities to meet the demands of the 21st century, marking the first significant renovation since the 1970s.
The library’s Master Plan, completed with Paul Mays of Butler Rowland Mays Architects, will allow the library to effectively provide the entire Ballston Spa community with comprehensive access to collections, spaces and programming as well as raise and fully develop the critical-need areas of the deteriorating building and resources offered to the public. The full Master Plan objectives can be found at the Ballston Spa Public Library Web site.
“It was an honor to present these funds to the Ballston Spa Public Library today,” said Walsh. “This investment marks a significant step forward in ensuring our community has access to modern, updated facilities and resources. The library is a cornerstone of our village, and I’m excited to see the positive impact these critical renovations will have on the entire community, providing enhanced services and opportunities for residents of all ages.”
“I am confident these improvements will not only meet the current needs of our community but also lay the foundation for continued growth and innovation. By investing in our public spaces like the Ballston Spa Public Library, we are investing in the well-being and prosperity of our community for generations to come. I am proud to support this project and eager to witness the transformative changes it will bring,” Walsh concluded.
