Class B Champions Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Boys Cross-Country Team Welcomed To Assembly Chamber
On Tuesday, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I,Ref-Ballston) welcomed New York’s Class B NYSPHSAA Boys Cross-Country Champions, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School to the Assembly Chamber. This year, the boys had a 13-2 overall record and were successful in winning a sixth state title. The team was presented with a Joint Resolution by Walsh and Sen. Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,Ref-Glenville).
“I congratulate these athletes on accomplishing what so many athletes in this state dream of achieving – winning a state title,” said Walsh. “I hope these young men have learned that winning a state title takes more than just talent. It requires drive, determination and commitment, all of which are qualities they will need to succeed in life. This is the second team from our district I have welcomed to the Assembly Chamber for winning a state title, and I look forward to welcoming many more.”
Earlier this month, Walsh welcomed New York’s Class A NYSPHSAA Women’s Field Hockey Champions, Shenendehowa High School.
