Walsh Disappointed With Assembly One-House Budget Proposal
A statement from Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I,Ref-Ballston)
“The one-house resolution passed by the Assembly Majprity today was most notable in what it lacked – the inclusion of the Safe Water Infrastructure Action Program, and a commitment to pass ridesharing legislation. These are two of my highest priorities for this legislative session, and both appear to have been completely ignored by the Assembly Majority. The resolution they passed also breaks Gov. Cuomo’s two-percent tax cap, placing proposed spending upwards of three percent. This spending beyond the tax cap will wrongfully place an additional financial burden on taxpayers. As negotiations continue to take place I sincerely hope to see a different budget emerge, one that more fairly represents the interests of our district and all of New York.”
