Walsh Stops By Crossroads Center for Children
Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I,Ref-Ballston) recently visited Crossroads Center for Children, located in Rotterdam, to meet with Executive Director Kelly Young and to learn about the facility’s current programs and initiatives. Crossroads is a pre-school and school-age program providing education, speech therapy, occupational and physical therapy, and opportunities for typical-peer interaction for children on the autism spectrum as well as children with other developmental disabilities. This Center has special significance to Walsh, as Crossroads was the school her eldest son attended as a child.
“I was thrilled to return to Crossroads and reconnect with some individuals who played such a significant role in my son’s life,” said Walsh. “I personally know how wonderful Crossroads is for children on the autism spectrum, and I thank them for everything they have provided to my family. Although Crossroads is not in my Assembly District, its program serves many of my constituent families.”
