Walsh Welcomes the Unified Military Council to State Capitol

Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I-Ballston) welcomed members of the Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) to the State Capitol on Wednesday, March 13. UMAC is an initiative of the Capital Region Chamber that recognizes the importance of our military installations and the impacts they have on our economy at a local, state and global level. Those attending included members from the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, the 109th Training Wing in Glenville and the Navy Support Activity in Saratoga Springs.

“The Unified Military Affairs Council has taught me so much about the nationally-recognized military work that is done right in the 112th Assembly District and the surrounding communities. The Military units that surround the Capital Region not only provide jobs for our community, but they also have a significant impact on our regional economy, all while protecting our country. On behalf of the 112th Assembly district and my fellow legislators, I want to thank them for their service and advocacy.”
