Area Legislators Welcome 4-H Delegation To Capitol
Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C- Big Flats), Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning), Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda) and Assemblyman Bill Nojay (R,I) were pleased to welcome the Canisteo 4-H Stars on their recent trip to the Capitol. They were accompanied by their leader, Rebecca Painter, and some of their dedicated parents. It was each member of the group’s first trip to the Capitol.
“It was a pleasure to have the Canisteo 4-H Stars visit us in Albany. 4-H is one of the best youth organizations that parents can encourage their children to become involved with,” the area lawmakers said.
The legislators also noted that they were impressed with the continued development of 4-H programming.
“Today, 4-H groups continue to honor their agricultural legacy while also promoting technology and citizenship initiatives. We hope that they continue their excellent work in our Southern Tier and Finger Lakes communities,” they said.
