Assemblymen Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) and Christopher S. Friend (R,C,I-Big Flats) recently welcomed the Southern Tier Montessori School to the Capitol and the Assembly Floor. The students spent the day learning how state government operates and the role it plays in the day-to-day operations of the state.

“It’s always great to welcome students to the Capitol and show them the Assembly Floor where the people’s business is done,” said the legislators. “The Montessori School provides these students with an excellent head start to their education, and continues to serve as one of the best schools in the Southern Tier. I look forward to showing the Capitol to future classes and watching to see what these kids have in store for our state and our country.”
