O’Mara, Palmesano Welcome League Of Women Voters Designee To State Capitol
Albany, NY, May 31, 2016--New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) were pleased to welcome League of Women Voters student representative Margaret Badding, a junior at Campbell-Savona High School (Steuben County), to the Capitol.
The League of Women Voters selected Badding to attend the 16th annual Students Inside Albany conference from May 22-25, 2016. In addition to attending the interactive conference, Badding toured the Capitol, closely observed legislative sessions in both chambers, and “shadowed” both Palmesano and O’Mara.
“We would like to thank the League of Women Voters for organizing this conference. Promoting civic traditions and encouraging participation in government lays a solid foundation for a brighter New York. We would also like to thank Margaret Badding for coming to Albany and participating in the conference. She is bright and inquisitive, and she truly cares about public service,” the legislators said.
